canvas will appear. Menu "Image",
select "Attributes" insert 800 pixels
for width, click "OK"
Select Line Tool making sure you have the right
color chosen for left mouse and in this case;
Black. From 120 pixels from the left, (cursor
position noted in status bar from left and top
position of 0,0,) draw vertical line from top to
bottom. Your canvas should be like example. |
 |
|
Next
select Fill Tool
Black
should still be left mouse, put fill tool
spout in left side of vertical line and
click left mouse. |
 |
|
|
Next
select Magnify Glass and enlarge 8 times.
Select
Line Tool, Select second from top line
size 2 pixel width, left mouse click color
bar with dark shade of gray, draw vertical
line next to black. Repeat with light
shade of gray as per sample>>> |
 |
|
|
Next
select Magnify Glass and reduce to actual
size 1:1

now have a 3D border with a shadow. This
works with any color combinations |
 |
|
|
Next
select menu "Image", select
"Attributes" and change the
height number to "2", Click
"OK"
The size of your image will be 2 pixels in
height and I normally make 1200 pixels
wide as I want the black border to appear
on the left side and not repeated on the
right side of the screen of large
monitors. If you're only to use on
Stationary, a width of 600 should be more
then enough. Uncheck transparency if
checked. |
 |
|
Next
menu "File", select "Save
As", Type of file, select "Graphics
Interchange Format, gif", name and Save.
Remember
the name and folder, so you can insert in
the "Background" box of the
stationary or html page link. |
 |
|
Tiled,
it will appear like this on your
stationary or html page as background.
Lettering,
text, pictures and images can be added as
foreground objects. |
