BASICS: Web pages are laid out normally in Landscape format to maximize the shape of your monitor and offer resistance to printing on a normal 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. Many sites offer printing layouts that will be printed in Portrait format. Before printing distinguish the format you are dealing with otherwise you may get unsatisfactory results	Settings for MS I-Explorer will be discussed first or you can scroll down to the Navigator settings Settings for Printer Scroll down for both I-Explorer and Navigator

MS I-Explorer Page Setup:

Select menu "File" and then select "Page Setup" will give you dialog box of image on right

1. Select paper size to print in: In this case "Letter 8 1/2 x 11 in" is selected.

2, "Auto Select" is fine

3. Header and Footer box will normally have code to add URL where document came from. I don't want that on my print outs so I deleted. If you want to delete as well, you may want to copy code and store code in a file in case you want to add later>

4.Format choice of Portrait and Landscape. 8 1/2 x11 is normally Portrait

5. Margins: I normally set for minimum 1/4 inch or .25 inch as displayed in picture.

Click "OK" will set these settings as default and will be settings for future printing until you change.

Navigator 4.51 Page Setup

Select menu "File" and then select "Page Setup" will give you dialog box of image on right.

1. Page Options are self explanatory.

2. Note sample is 8.50 x 11.00 so setup is in portrait format

3. Navigator apparently automatically allows for 1/4 inch margins so I set the margins at "0" to accommodate maximum printing per page.

4. Header and Footer is unselected as I do not want that additional information on the print outs. Select them if you do but be aware that the web page may be set up for 8 1/2 x 11 printing and will not have space for that additional information causing multiple pages for a single print out.

5. Click "OK" will set the Page Setup for all printing until changed.

Web Page Printing:
I-Explorer or Navigator

Select menu "File" and then select "Print" will give you dialog box of image on right. This image is similar in both
I-Explorer and Navigator Browsers

1. Control your printing. By selecting "All" may get more than you bargained for and tie up your machine for an hour especially on slow modems

Select Pages, Insert "1" in first box and "1" in second box will print the first page or page that is displayed in the web page. by selecting other numbers will give you the range you want printed but doing them one at a time will give you more control on how long you want your machine tied up with this task.

    Note: If web page has sections commonly known as frames, you
      must select the section or frame you want to print. Otherwise the
      print mode is deactivated until a selection is made.
